EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
HBCU CONNECT is the largest organization of students and alumni from Historically Black Colleges & Universities, anchored by our website, HBCUConnect.com, launched in 1999 as the first online social network for African American professionals.
In the past, we have successfully connected employers with job seekers by way of traditional career fairs with booth space for employers and large numbers of unregistered guests. We received positive feedback on the quality of the candidates in attendance, and also feedback from employers saying that they would like to engage with more candidates and bring additional recruiters in the future. To offer a more engaging experience, we have decided to enhance the recruitment event format for our partners participation!
Going forward we are creating a more intimate experience that will attract more candidates, all of which will be screened and registered for the event. All participating employers will have access to all resumes from registered attendees.
THE PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING EVENT MODEL:
HBCU CONNECT team will provide the venue, food, beverages and most importantly, the talent for this exclusive professional networking event.
We will work with your organization to understand the type of talent you would like to interface with at the event (students vs. graduates, majors, career categories, etc.) and we will source this talent to be invited to the event to insure an excellent return on investment for your organization.
We will handle all of the heavy lifting for the event. All your organization will need to do is show up with your recruiters, and we recommend that you come in company branded clothing (T-shirts/Polo shirts).
Each participating employer will have an opportunity to introduce their organization and the recruiters they have with them at the event, such that job seekers can network with matching employers. We will also have an area where employers can place materials for job seekers to take with them as they enter or exit the venue.
We decided to go with this format to give employers guaranteed ROI in the form of face time with hundreds of candidates, pre-event sourcing work to target candidates for our partners, and electronic delivery of the resumes of all candidates in attendance.
Specific Activities that we will handle to insure the success of this recruitment event:
Secure Appropriate VIP Venue for event
Coordinate with the designated venue for event execution
Coordinate and pay for catering for event
Identify media outlets to utilize for promotion
Define target audience of ideal attendees
Set up registration landing page for candidates to sign up and upload resumes for consideration
Design marketing campaign to attract diverse attendees to the event
Execute on marketing strategy and event preparation
Source candidates using access to our own database as well as other online talent databases
Screen candidates for professionalism and capture interest in relocation / veteran status
Deliver resumes of all candidates that register to attend event
Attend event and help with recruitment activities and candidate identification
Assist with post event follow up and candidate tracking
Post event survey for job seekers and employers

2. Standard Recruiter Package: $6,995
a. Registration for up to 3 recruiters
b. 5 minute presentation / introduction
c. 3 power point slides to be included in rotation during event
d. 100% of resumes delivered electronically before & after the event
e. Candidate sourcing and reporting, based on your desired candidate profiles
f. Space to leave your recruitment materials for candidates to pick up as they enter/exit venue
3. Exclusive Recruiter Package: $9,995
a. Registration for up to 6 recruiters
b. 5 minute presentation / introduction
c. 3 power point slides to be included in rotation during event
d. 100% of resumes delivered electronically before & after the event
e. Candidate sourcing and reporting, based on your desired candidate profiles
f. Space to leave your recruitment materials for candidates to pick up as they enter/exit venue
g. Category exclusivity, such that we will not allow any of your competitors to attend the event to recruit (this option is time sensitive and only applicable if available at the time you are invoiced)
4. Presenting Sponsor Package: $14,995
a. Registration for up to 10 recruiters
b. 10 minute presentation / introduction
c. 3 power point slides to be included in rotation during event
d. 100% of resumes delivered electronically before & after the event
e. Candidate sourcing and reporting, based on your desired candidate profiles
f. Space to leave your recruitment materials for candidates to pick up as they enter/exit venue
g. Logo on all promotional materials pre-event and on the day of event.
h. Logo on HBCUConnect.com website homepages for 3 months preceding event
