It's May 5th. The day after my daughter's birthday. Most people don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo. They think that day is a Spanish independence one. It's not. It's a Mexican celebration of a war victory.
I plan on celebrating tonight. No dancing. I studied Spanish in school (my daughters are carrying on the tradition) and love the culture. I'm cooking beans and rice with tacos. Having a virgin margarita and my girls are having water. Will put on some Mexican tunes on in the car on the way to practice.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
