It's not really vacation, it is a trip. Think about it. Ask any parent. A vacation is where you go to get away from it all. You pamper yourself. You unwind and the world is your oyster. Your worries melt away.
If you take your kids, they don't let you rest. You're still working, but you are just in strange surroundings and you are paying for it. Everybody gets to sleep in and relax, but you don't. (If you are the mom.) You are always keeping the family in check, on track, and organized. There's no fun in that.
When mom gets to relax, then it's a vacation. Until then, it's a trip.
