Home-grown saxophonist, composer and producer Duane Parham uses his new song Detroit City is Coming Back to reach across racial, ethnic and political lines and assemble musicians whose sole purpose is to lift the spirit of Detroit and promote citizen awareness of the importance of unity, cohesiveness and comradeship in moving the city forward.
These musical ambassadors, along with a project spearheaded by the Educational Arts Society (E.A.S), expect the song to be the animus that garners interest from investors, educators, musicians and promoters.
The first CD release celebration will be “in concert” on May 23 & 24, 2014 at Baker’s Keyboard Lounge, 20510 Livernois Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48221, featuring Duane Parham & Hari Paris, with Mistress of Ceremony Entertainment Diva Coco—2 shows nightly, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
The Original Vandellas are singing the Motown version of "Detroit City is Coming Back!"
The second release will be a 4-hour “live” presentation on Kats Radio, Sunday, June 1, 2014 at
www.KatsEntertainment.com with all of the Motown Ambassadors. Listeners may join the celebration by calling (218) 632 – 9159 from 5pm to 9pm, and once connected they should put in the code 969055.
This project will honor the Motown Ambassadors and generate national and international interest and support.
State Representative Fred Durhal Jr. will be at the helm of the celebration, along with extended invitations to city, county and state dignitaries. Internet surfers and music lovers can download numerous versions of Detroit City is Coming Back in over 20 genres on the website
